Magic Inkwell 2.0
That time in Fall 2007 when I tried to reboot Magic Inkwell...
It was the Fall of 2007 and I’d moved to White River Junction, VT with my wife and my baby daughter. We’d finally settled into our own place after a year of living with my in laws. I had made friends with some of the staff and faculty of The Center for Cartoon Studies and was lending a hand at the school helping people learn web stuff, contributing to locally published anthologies and starting to finally get back to my own stories and comics.
The last comic I’d worked on before the move was THOSE WERE THE SALAD DAYS which saw my character Dingbat the Cat was a rapper in a trip hop band. Now as a new father, of course Dingbat had to become a stay at home father. This would be the strip that would provide the backdrop for YEAR OF THE RAT as the months progressed.
